Meditation

Meditation is a powerful tool and the first step to the conscious awareness of our divine self.  Through simple meditation techniques you can learn to get centered and let go of stress, fear, doubt and limiting beliefs.  As you reach the place inside of inner peace you access your own divine wisdom.

In meditation you focus the mind on the breath. Then you are able to feel your own energy and spirit. The thoughts are no longer in control distracting you from who you truly are, spirit in physical form.

With a regular practice of meditation you have the ability to go within to access your intuition. This inner truth that comes from the source always guides you to your highest and best potential. Trust it.

Your Inner Lamp

Each time you meditate you add a drop of oil to your inner lamp.  One drop alone is hardly noticeable. Consistently meditating over time enriches your life as it fills your lamp to brim with oil. Your thoughts no longer control you. Instead you develop a relationship with the master within, your higher power.

This awareness of your true nature and your inner lamp is the seat of your empowerment as a spiritual being. You become more aware of your own energy and your place in the world.  Innate gifts within reveal themselves to you in the moment. Your world opens up to you with unlimited possibilities.

Your Sacred Space

Find a quiet place, your sacred space without distractions for your meditation. Ideally a meditation room would be wonderful or a designated side of a room.  Turn off the phones, and let loved ones know that this is your sitting time and you are not to be disturbed for about 20 minutes. This is about your commitment to your own well being and what works for you.

Your sacred space needs to have a cushion or chair for you to sit on comfortably. Try different cushions and chairs and see what feels good to you. It is important for your body to relax so that you can let go and focus. If your body is uncomfortable you will be distracted. Simple yoga stretches help to prepare your body for sitting during your session.

Breathe

Breathe and relax then take three cleansing breaths as you begin to bring your focus within you. Continue to breathe nice and easy as you keep your focus on each breath.  When your mind becomes activated bring your thoughts back to the moment relaxing into each breath. Pay attention to the spaces between the breaths. All you have is this moment and your breath. All is well.

You are Spirit

Remember who you are. You are spirit. Know that you are a beautiful being of love and light. Your essence is love.

You are not your body. You are not your mind. You are not your feelings. You are spirit. It is through meditation in silence that you experience who you truly are, divinity itself. You fall in love with yourself, God and the world knowing you are all one. And so it is.
