Still Small Voice

The still small voice is within us always there, ready to be of service to us in the moment. God/Goddess guides us to truth, to what is best for us through that inner voice.

Ask for what you want with passion. Be quiet as you listen within for the answer from thestill small voice. We need to be quiet, stilling the mind so that we can hear the wisdom from inside.

Trust that God always guides us to what is best for us through our intuition – thestill small voice. Follow the guidance even if it doesn’t make sense to our rational mind. In time it will make sense to us as more of the truth is revealed.

I Listened to the Still Small Voice

It was quite an eventful summer in 2007. I experienced a miracle first hand whenI listened to the still small voice.My teenage daughter and I visited my oldest daughter and my grandson in upstate NY for three weeks in July of that year.

On Wednesday July 18, my two daughters and I went to New York City for a day of shopping. We drove to Tarrytown and parked thecar at a meter, depositing enough change so that we could park until 6:45 p.m.

We then took the half-hour train ride into Grand Central Station at 42^ndStreet and Lexington Avenue. Then we spent the dayshopping near the Empire State Building on 34^thStreet. When I looked at my watch at 4:45 p.m. a very strong urge to leave the city came over me.

My rational mind said that we had plenty of time to catch the train north to Tarrytown before the meter ran out at 6:45 p.m.I listened to the still small voiceas the powerful intuitive urge to leave became even stronger.

I listened to the still small voiceand told my two daughters that we had to leave immediately.Thankfully, they followed me as we trotted through the streets of the city trying to hail a cab back to Grand Central Station.

It was rush hour so no cabs were available. We ran all the way to the station with me in the lead. Finally we ran through the doorway into Grand Central Station.My oldest daughter guided us to the track where our train was waiting. We just made it on the 5:18 p.m. train back to Tarrytown.

We arrived at Tarrytown, got into the car, drove to Nyack to visit my brother and his wife before heading back upstate. As we sat on their couch the news was on the television.

Just before 6 p.m. that evening, the news reported, there was an explosion of an underground pipeline at 41^stStreet and Lexington Avenue. It caused a crater in the street and one person was killed.

The trains were shut down at Grand Central Station in case of further explosions. We had gotten on the last train to Tarrytown about a half-hour before the explosion which was just a block away. ThankfullyI listened to the still small voice.

Even though I didn’t know why we needed to leave the city so quickly, I followed the inner guidance from the still small voice. Ourintuitionalways guides us to that which is best for us. The key is to pay attention to it and follow it even when it makes no sense to us.
