The full moon on Friday August 31 is the second one this month making it a Blue Moon. The second full moon in a month is called a Blue Moon. The moon doesn’t look blue. It’s name has nothing to do with it’s actual color.
The last Blue Moonwas December 31, 2009. It happens every 2.72 years which makes it a very special occurrence. The next Blue Moon will happen July 31, 2015.
Full Moon in Pisces
This Blue Moon is a full moon in Pisces. The focus is on healing old emotional wounds that are coming up into the light of our awareness. We have the opportunity to let go of old beliefs at the root of these wounds.
The full moon in Pisces encourages soul purging at the deepest level. The waters support cleansing and completion of stuck emotional energy and situations.
The Sun is in Virgo the earth sign opposite Pisces. Virgo carries the energies of healing and service to humanity. Virgo and Pisces areattuned to the environment, picking up toxic energies.
Since this full moon in Pisces is a letting go moon take time in nature to retreatand release the old toxic emotional wounds of the past. Honor your body, mind, emotions and spirit rituals of cleansing with water.
Things to Do
Use movement such as dance to assist you in releasing the old wounds. Singing and chanting are powerful ways to release energy through sound from the throat chakra.
This blue moon is an opportunity to forgive self and others. Letting go of resentments is powerful act. It sets us free from our self imposed prison. We then experience our wholeness, our birthright.
Now is the time to listen to your inner voice, your intuition which is more pronounces during this full moon in Pisces. Your intuition always guides you to what is best for you. Trust it.
Consciously stay connect to Source. Take time to pray, meditate in a sacred space whether it be at home, outdoors in nature, at a temple or church.
