Christmas Miracle Story
Dear Friend,
Each Christmas I love reading stories or watchingmovies that are inspiring.I am so grateful and honored to be able to share apersonal Christmas Miracle Story that has justhappened in my family (Dec. 2004).
My Brother Mike
Thispast Fri.Dec. 3I was awakened by a call frommy niece Teres inArizona. She had just received acall from a hospital inDetroit, Michiganstating thatmy brother Mike, her father, who was missing foralmost 10 yrs., was very sick in the hospital.
Teres,whose mom just passed away 2 months ago, had writtenher dad telling him of the news of his ex-wife’sdeath. The letter was sent to Social Security as mybrother Mike is on disability. Due to privacy laws hiswhereabouts can’t be revealed to us.
About a month ago Social Security forwardedthe letter to my brother Mike which had Teres’s phone number in it.When my brother, living in a nursing home, wastransferred recently to the hospital anurse saw the letter and called Teres.
The nurse lether know that her dad was very sick and had recentlyhad both legs amputated. It felt like he could dieat anytime since he was full of infection.
In less than 24 hours eight family members including me flew intoDetroitfrom the 4
corners of the U.S. – WA,AZ,NY,FLand TN to embrace my brother Mike.
Healing Power of Love
For thenext 3 days we embraced Mike in thehealingpower of love, compassion,forgiveness (he is innocent, we are innocent). Welaughed and we cried with him. The bonus was when hesang his favorite song “That Old Black Magic”.
Thedoctor was amazed at how quickly my brother wasrecovering and he acknowledged the healing power of love. My brother has more healing to do, of course. Since he is aveteran he is being transferred to aVAhospital inMichiganand eventually he will be transferred to a VAhospital close to family.
We all have acknowledged the profound healing powerof love. There has been a tremendous healing in myfamily and it continues.
Wounded Male
As I see it my brother Mike is theembodiment of the wounded male who has been disempowered
(his legs amputated). He reflects the disempoweredmale in each of us whether we are male or female.
As we embrace him in unconditionallove we embrace our ownwounded male within. We all have male and female energy within us that needs to be healed and balanced.
This healing is forMike, my family, my ancestors, and the wounded male within all of us. I am honored to have experienced love as the healer, the purifier.
When I returned homeMonday nightI cried. In asking myself what was I crying aboutspecifically, the thought came that I have just founda part of myself that has been missing for a longtime.
I embrace you all in love and compassion.I affirm you all as the embodiment of love andwholeness.I salute the Christ in you my brothers & sisters.
