Sacred Feminine Soul Sistersare the sisters of our soul. They are sometimes more in touch with what our soul needs then we are, helping us to navigate our way back home to ourselves.
Four of Us
Back in 2001 when I worked at NWAF in West Seattlefour of uswomen would have powerful supportive conversations in the back room of the store. We decided to meet after work so that we could have quality time together to continue to nurture our friendships.
In September of that year thefour of us,calling ourselves the YoYos, went to the ocean for a 3 day weekend. We ate, drank, laughed, cried, played on the beach and did arttogether. Deb and I bravely jumped into the cold Pacific Ocean as Chris and Jayne cheered us on.
Jayne, Deb and Chris are artists that I respect. They have always encouraged me to express my creativity, too. That summer thefour of usdid water color paintings. My Sacred Feminine Soul Sistershelped me to open up creatively which has led me to discover my inner writer.

Three of Us
This weekend it is time for usSacred Feminine Soul Sistersto get together again for YoYo Weekend 2012 as we have been doing for the last 11 years. Sadly this will be our second time experiencing just thethree of us together.Last year our Deb joined the angels after her cancer returned. Within 6 short weeks she left us to continue her spiritual journey on the other side.
Even as I write this it is still hard to believe that it is now justthree of us.Our hearts are broken and it feels like we lost a limb. We did. This past year has been a long one as we have grieved our sister Deb.
The grieving continues as I honor my emotions letting the tears flow as I write this article. I am letting my heart speak my truth as the reality offour of usbecomingthree of usstill sinks in.
Continue the Sisterhood
Inside I want to scream, “How could this happen to us? We were such good friendstogether and we became better women as a result of our sisterhood. Where do we go from here now? Show me the way.”“Continue the sisterhood”are the words that I continue to hear.
Yes, the YoYos are going tocontinue the sisterhoodby getting together this weekend. This will be year 12 but without our Deb. We will eat, drink, laugh, cry, play and do art work together as we have done since 2001.
As wecontinue the sisterhoodwe each value even more so theSacred Feminineenergy within ourselves, each other and all theSacred Feminine soul sistersin our lives.
Thank you Deb, mySacred Feminine Soul Sisteron the other side. You have helped me to find myself by seeing me, loving me and accepting me. And thank you my beautiful Jayne and Chris for continuing the YoYo sisterhood so that together we will help each other heal once again.
