Divine Mother Maryis the embodiment of theSacred Feminineenergy. Herqualities are unconditional love, compassion, mercy, strength, patience, forgiveness with accessibility to all in need.
As a child I was raised in the Catholic religion. TheDivine MotherMary was a natural part of my life at home, in school and in church.Both of my parents respected and loved Maryand depended on her many beautiful qualities to help them with the many challenges of raising five children.
My parents had faith in the Blessed Mother’s ability to lift them up with her love and compassion. My mother looked to theDivine MotherMary for clear direction in problem solving for the family.
Divine MotherMary, theSacred Feminineaspect of God is an ascended master available to each of us as the great comforter and counselor. When we honor theSacredFemininewe help to balance the male female energy within each of us and in the universe.
Balance Male Female Energies
The religions of the world have different beliefs, ideologies, and rituals. In looking at what religions have in common it is the intention oflove, compassion and kindness to all living things. These qualities are of theSacred Feminine,which when honored helps tobalance male female energies.
God is neither male nor female and is beyond form and duality. As humans we need to name and give form to an abstract concept so that we can connect to it at our level of awareness. The Divine Essence has become a Father God figure elevated over Mother God, where man is valued over woman. The time has come tobalancemale female energieswithin ourselves and in our belief systems by honoring theSacred Feminine.
Devotee of the Sacred Feminine
Each morning when I meditate I gaze upon the image of theDivine MotherMary which hangs in my healing room. As adevotee of theSacred FeminineGoddess I experience her love, strength, patience and accessibility to me.
As adevotee of theSacred Femininethese wonderful qualities are growing and developing in me now which is process that occurs organically on the path of devotion. Her wisdom has guided me for most of my adult life through so many challenging times. I am so grateful to her for that.
Love and Compassion
TheDivine Motheris the mother of all children of God. She is accessible to all beings in the Universe. Her unconditionallove and compassionis abundant and therefore cannot be confined by religious beliefs.
When we focus, pray and meditate on her image, her qualities oflove and compassionare available for us to access, grow and expand within us. In fact this is the intention of the devotional path to God consciousness.
It is not enough to love and admire an ascended master’s qualities. The next step is to access those same qualities such aslove and compassionand grow them withinourselves. Then we are able to share with our brothers and sisters through service and in service tolove and compassionitself.
Mercy
Mercyis another quality that theDivine Mothercarries and expresses to each of us.
In the spring of 2010 my adult nephew was diagnosed with fourth stage liver cancer. Our family was in shock, pain and anguish as we watched him suffer over the next few months. During the summer on the day that he passed I sobbed in agony for my family and myself. He was the third nephew in 18 months to pass on, as well as other family members in the past few years. Sobbing in pain, I cried out to Mother Mary to havemercyon my family and myself.
Suddenly I felt the soothing balm of peace flow through me. When I called my niece, less than an hour after my nephew passed, she said that she felt peaceful as well as my nephew’s wife and son who were all present when he passed. I am still in awe at how quickly theDivine Motherresponded to my cries formercy.
Thank youDivine Mother Maryfor your words of wisdom, unconditional love, compassion, and mercy. May these qualities grow in me and in all of my brothers and sisters on Mother Earth. And so it is.
