“Show me the way” is the simple prayer I use when my next step is unclear. I love how direct and to the point it is. Spirit knows me and my heart, more than I know myself. As a human being I can easily get caught up in the daily challenges. Seeing the bigger picture of my life takes a bird’s eye view from the higher realms. That is where this prayer “Show me the way” comes in.
Prayer is talking to God. Using my own words in prayer feels more personal to me. Having a personal relationship with Source is my intention on my spiritual path. No need to complicate my communication with the Divine. That’s what I love about this prayer “Show me the way.” It is real easy and to the point. There is no misunderstanding what I am asking for.
It helps to be humble in our conversations with God. There is no need to be demanding. Just the simple request, “Show me the way” will suffice. Being humble means that we are willing to admit that we do not know, that we are powerless. That is why we are turning to Spirit because we need help. Can’t do this journey alone. Feel the peace when you say “Show me the way.”
“Show me the way” can be an opening to our intentions. “Show me the way that I may know my life’s purpose.” Also “Show me the way that I may be a better mother, father, teacher, student, friend, artist, therapist, doctor or spiritual counselor.” Setting our intentions is powerful in our conversations with the Divine, as energy follows our awareness.
As you pray “Show me the way” daily, it is important to pay attention to your intuition. The still small voice within is the voice of Spirit guiding us. Messages can come in our dreams, upon awakening, in the shower. It can be a strong feeling to do something or to call someone. Be aware of what or who shows up in your life. Divine answers can also come through certain experiences as well. Being grateful to God when we are shown the way, is how we give back to the Divine.
