Talk to God through prayersas a daily practice. When we are challenged on our spiritual path it is especially healing. Meditation is listening to God whereas prayers are how we communicate with the Divine.
When we talk to God through prayerswehonor our spirit by consciously aligning with the Source within us through the direct communication of prayer. No middle man is needed.
Thereare many ways to talk to God through prayers. Repeating a standard prayerthat you learned as a child,creating a new prayer or simply talking to God in your own words are the main ways to connect with Goddess.
Start Our day with Prayer
We can talk to Spirit in the morning as a positive way to start our day with prayer. Setting an intention for the day supports us in living more consciously.
Each day when we start our day with prayerwe canname our family, friends, all of humanity and Mother Earth. One by one I put them all in God’s handswhich allows me to continue to let go. As a result I am free to be more present in my life.
When we start our day with prayers wedirect Spirit to what we need help with in our life. Then we feel more supported in letting go and letting God be in charge of all our affairs. The Universe loves and supports us and wants us to be happy.
Surrendering
Surrenderingmy control and allowing the Universe to work in my life is what is involved indaily prayers. When I let go and allow God to have control in my life I am letting go of limiting beliefs as all beliefs are limiting.
Admitting my powerlessness is part of the process ofsurrenderingto my Higher Power. It is very humbling. The truth is we are powerless over everyone and everything in our lives. We can only control our own thoughts, attitudes and behaviors.
When we acknowledge our powerlessness and practicesurrenderingto Spirit we are set free to live fully in the moment. We can then trust that God is taking care of us and guiding us to what is best for uson all levels.Spirit is also taking care of our loved ones.
For example Iadd an imageby visualizing all my loved ones on an altar to the Divine. This visual helps me to let go and let God take care of them. As a result I can be more present in my own life rather than trying to help others who can only help themselves.
Add an imagewhen you pray to help you experience the power of prayer that the image represents. Be creative with this process and enjoy it.
Everyone has their own Higher Power. My job is to surrender to my Higher Power when I talk to God through prayers. This allows me to live in the moment as the expression of my spirit each and every day.
